Light in the Lord

Brocken Spectre - Clouds and Mountains - Glacier NP - Montana

You were once darkness, but are now light in the LORD. Walk as children of light.
Ephesians 5:8

My shadow cast onto the clouds below me with the rainbow halo is called a Brocken Spectre. I had never seen one before this hike in Glacier National Park. This natural phenomenon occurred at two locations on that hike and I was able to capture excellent images both times.

This verse from Ephesians 5:8 uses darkness and light as a spiritual metaphor. The book of Ephesians gives an excellent description of how one moves from darkness to light. A short summary can be found in Ephesians 2:8-10 "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.".
